Barely, with a lot of text. Granma was born in 1925. Father was born to granma in 1950. Mother was born in 1951. My brother was born to father and mother in 1987. I was born to them in 1990. I find it hard to explain the larger family without an interface.

So what, do you use social networks or genealogy software that have already decided how to show this for you?

ANTIPHON
Nah, I don't like that they decide for me. And when they change the interface, or close down, I always end up with the short end of the stick. I decide for myself what I want to speak about.

So what, do you just write prose, like a lot of notes?

ANTIPHON
Nah, each event has prose and some details, so 1950 is a date, father is a name of that event, and mother is the name of some other event. I can hide prose under "is...", details under "with..." and lists under "and...". It reads like a sentence. I will show the type of each thing in brackets for now.

father(event) is: Father was born(prose) with: 1950(date)
me(event) is: I was born(prose) with: 1990(date) father(name) and: mother(name)

Nah, I need to connect them to each other. I put one event in the center, everything it references on one side, and everything that references it to the other. I can click on father and see father's center instead.
